Because I made reference to "the first white woman" on the Sultan Map, I was labeled a "1920's white supremacist" by someone who wrote a scathing editorial about me in the nearby Monroe Monitor newspaper. Sultan is a small town on Highway 2 on the west side of the Cascades. If you're going to Leavenworth or Wenatchee, you'll pass through Sultan.
