Nestled in the Cascade Mountain foothills, Buckley is one of the bedroom communities that serve Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia. Still very rural and picturesque, Buckley has yet to be greatly affected by creeping suburbs. Paved sidewalks replaced Buckley's planked sidewalks in 1912.
